At ºì½ãͼ¿â School, Dance is offered in a manner that supports our ºì½ãͼ¿â world view, with a biblical perspective underpinning all lessons. Students are encouraged to use their skills to serve their school and church communities, and also be equipped to continue on to Stage 6 Dance studies in Year 11 and 12.

What styles of dance do we do?

We cover a range of styles in this course including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, some world and folk dance…and also do a unit on Dance Film.

Do I have to be taking regular dance classes to join this course?

No, you can do this course with minimum dance training and yet the course will also be interesting and stimulating for dancers with more experience.

What do I have to wear?

A black leotard or dance top, black dance pants or leggings, ballet or jazz shoes (depending on what style we are studying).

Do I need to be in the Dance Eisteddfod or Musical Dance Team?

Yes you do, as we want you to have the opportunity to share your God-given talents and abilities with our school community. More performance opportunities also refine and improve your dance abilities.
